Featured Recipe: Baked Beet Burgers (Vegan, Gluten Free)
These delicious burgers offer a nutrient dense vegan alternative that’s packed with detox supportive ingredients and tonnes of flavour.
Servings: 8 Patties
Ingredients
- 1 Can (425g) “Eden” Chickpeas (Drained, Pureed)
- 2 Cups “Pfennings” Organic Red Beets (Peeled, Grated)
- 3 Cups Organic Crimini Mushrooms (Chopped)
- 1.5 Cups Organic Onions (Diced)
- 1 tbsp Organic Garlic (Minced)
- 1 Cup Organic Walnuts (Roasted, Ground)
- 1 Cup Organic Quick Cooking Oats (Gluten Free Variety)
- 3 tbsp “Smoke” Smoked Paprika
- 1 tbsp “Frontier” Onion Granules
- 1 tbsp “Frontier” Garlic Granules
- 0.25 tsp Black Pepper
- 2 tsp Sea Salt (or to taste)
- 3 tbsp "Sarafino" Extra Virgin Olive Oil
Instructions
- Sauté onions, garlic and mushrooms in olive oil, over medium heat for 10 minutes or until golden brown.
- In a bowl, combine the sautéed vegetables with the remaining ingredients and mix until fully combined.
- Form into patties, place onto a parchment lined baking sheet and bake at 350F for 1 hour, flipping the patties halfway through.
- Use this patty with your bun, toppings and condiments of choice.

Do these have to be cooked? or can I eat them raw? I don’t see anything in there that would make me think it would have to be cooked, but I thought I would double check.

There isn’t anything in these that explicitly requires cooking. We’d definitely like to know how the flavour and texture works out, should you decide to try them raw!
