This is very exciting news for me because this is my go to daily supplement and they key to my post workout recovery.
I first started using Vega 5 years ago; I found that with my busy lifestyle, it was challenging to consume enough protein and nutrients on the go – especially a protein supplement that delivers more than just protein. Whey Protein powders were just not cutting it for me – they were giving me digestive issues and bloating and I was feeling tired not only after workouts but on a daily basis.

It offers 20 grams of easy to digest vegan pea protein. It’s also rich in branched chain amino acids (BCAAs), protein compounds that have been shown to delay fatigue during exercise.
This is amazing for me, because the amount of BCAAs in pea protein comes close to those found in milk and eggs, with a much lower potential for allergic reactions or intolerances.

Pea protein also contains arginine, an amino acid shown to enhance immunity.
The lysine content in peas helps the body absorb calcium and decreases the amount of calcium lost in urine, thus helping to maintain strong bones.

Specifically, it is during this period that the intake of protein and carbohydrates can aid in the increase of lean muscle mass!
This window is the perfect time to enjoy a protein packed smoothie – and I’ve included a recipe, featuring my favourite Vega Protein, below!
