Thanks to all of the parents and kids for taking part in our first ever Gingerbread Cookie Decorating Party – only at Nature’s Vaughan!
This past weekend, we took the opportunity to celebrate the holidays with a gluten-free, dairy-free take on a traditional classic – the Gingerbread Cookie!
The event started at 10am and ran through till 5pm. We welcomed approximately 80 children 12 and under to decorate our unique gingerbread people. The gluten-free, vegan cookies were baked in-house by Nature’s Vaughan chef Michael Cassano, while all toppings were gluten and dairy free. We sampled cookies and provided recipe cards for participants, parents and customers.
After decorating cookies, children were treated to hot chocolate, brownies, crispy rice squares, cookies and organic apples. Each child received a loot bag filled with goodies that were graciously donated by our vendors, along with reindeer decorated organic candy canes.
We also raffled off a Solorock Bike from Green Cruisers exclusive to only those who participated!
The event – which raised approximately $400 – supported a great cause, as 100% of proceeds went to Holiday Helpers “Adopt a Family”.
A big thanks goes out to our volunteers – all Nature’s Emporium staff members, who helped out in ensuring all the kids had a great time!
