Nutritious Smoothies for Runners – Part 2

The Run or Walk for Southlake Regional Health Centre presented by Nature’s Emporium is coming up on April 27th, 2014. Whether you are walking or running the 2.5K, 5K, 10K, or children’s mini-mile Nature’s Emporium would like to help you get prepared. In addition to our free running workshops, beginning on March 1st, we invite you to enjoy this delicious smoothie recipe that will help you go the extra mile.

Nutrition plays a vital role in optimizing your performance as a runner and smoothies are one of the most effective ways of fuelling your body with bioavailable nutrient dense foods.

This week we are featuring the recipe for our favourite post-run recovery smoothie. If you missed the post about our favourite pre-exercise smoothie, you can find it here. Look out for our anytime meal replacement smoothie recipe in the weeks ahead.
