Veggie Fermentation Workshop (Newmarket)

Event Details / Summary:
Learn how to make your own fermented vegetables using 2 different techniques in this hands-on workshop. We’ll teach you how to make tasty krauts and kimchi, as well as a variety of brined vegetables.
You’ll make 2 jars of fermented veggies during the class to take home along with a booklet with instructions and our favourites recipes.
We’ll also discuss the health benefits of fermenting your own food, how they compare to probiotic supplements and the best ways to incorporate them into your diet for health (and deliciousness!).
Presenter Bio:
Kathrin Brunner is a Toronto-based nutritionist and yoga teacher. She has a passion for holistic living and is a nutrition expert and recipe developer for Clean Eating Magazine. Kathrin teaches at The Institute of Holistic Nutrition and has a private practice that offers nutrition counseling, a variety of workshops, corporate talks and yoga classes.
